Instructions
  1. Dissolve yeast into warm water and then stir the mixture and oil into the flour. Stir the dough until it is a uniform texture and then knead on a lightly floured surface from about 30 seconds.
  2. Leave dough in bowl and cover with a damp towel, left at room temperature for 1-2 hours. When doubled in size, divide into 4 even dough balls and roll into 10 inch rounds.
  3. Saute vegetables in olive oil on medium heat until caramelized and tender. Filling can be varied based on desired and available/seasonal vegetables.
  4. Prepare Garlic Scape Pesto according to CSG Genesis Farm recipe.
  5. Spread pesto over half of rolled out dough round. Top with veggies and cheese and close calzone by pinching edges. If desired, symbols or initials can be etched on the tops.
  6. Bake at 500 degrees for 7-12 minutes until tops are golden.
