Join us on Saturday, November 2 (rain date November 3) for the next Four Seasons on the Farm birding experience.
This event will be an open house, from 11am-3pm, where we will be exploring raptor migration. Stop by for 10 minutes, or 4 hours to learn more about the hawks, vultures, eagles and falcons that will be in peak migration during this time of year. Prepare for the possibility of distant flight views of bird such as: Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, Osprey, Northern Harrier, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, Cooper’s Hawk, Northern Goshawk (uncommon), Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle (uncommon), Red Shouldered Hawk, Red-Tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Merlin and Peregrine Falcon. We will also be looking for late fall song-bird and warbler migrants, and resident birds settling in for the winter.
Dress for the elements, bring a folding chair and binoculars if you have them. Loaners will be available – courtesy of New Jersey Audubon. Hot cider will be provided. Bring a mug to be eco-friendly!
