A lei is to be worn,
Adored by eyes,
And cherished in hearts.
In Hawaii, a lei may be given to anyone as a token or gift of friendship. Presenting someone with a lei represents the admiration, respect, and honor given toward the individual. The lei is also given for special occasions and celebrations such as birthdays, graduations, weddings and all special moments in one’s life.
Here, at the CSG at Genesis Farm, we will begin the workshop harvesting from the PYO flowers, surrounding wild flowers and leaves. We will learn the basic techniques for making a fresh flower lei, and leave the workshop with a lei ready to wear. We hope to see you there!
